Crbcoin’s Hilde Watty Visits China to Inspect Water Purifiers for a Large-Scale Project in Ivory Coast.
CEO Hilde Watty visits water purifier production facility in Guangzhou as Crbcoin prepares for a major clean water and sustainable development project in Africa.
Crbcoin CEO Hilde Watty traveled to Guangzhou, China, to personally inspect the factory manufacturing the water purifiers that will be used within Crbcoin’s projects.
The visit is part of the preparations for a major clean water project in Africa, under which Crbcoin plans to supply millions of water purifiers to an African country.
For Crbcoin, projects such as these are about more than plans on paper. They require real products, reliable suppliers, quality control and infrastructure that can be inspected and verified.
Inside the Water Purifier Factory in Guangzhou
During the visit, Hilde walked through the production line together with the local team, following the manufacturing process from raw materials to the finished water purification systems.
She reviewed production capacity, delivery timelines and quality assurance directly with the supplier. She also personally inspected the certifications displayed at the facility.
The factory has several independent quality credentials:
SGS certificates are displayed throughout the facility, confirming independent third-party audits of the factory’s quality and safety standards.
The supplier holds Alibaba.com Assessed Supplier status, providing an external assessment of its production processes and capacity.
An Audited Supplier certification provides additional independent verification of the manufacturing facility.
Quality Control and Independent Certification
SGS is one of the world’s recognized inspection and certification organizations. Independent audits are important to Crbcoin because large-scale projects require suppliers capable of consistently meeting the necessary production and quality standards.
Crbcoin therefore treats supplier due diligence as an ongoing responsibility rather than a one-time check.
Certifications are periodically reviewed, and production capacity, quality standards and other requirements are assessed before partnerships are expanded.
Millions of Water Purifiers for Africa
The water purifiers inspected in Guangzhou are intended for a much larger Crbcoin initiative.
Crbcoin is preparing a large-scale water purification project in Africa that aims to supply millions of water purifiers to an African country, with the objective of expanding access to safe and clean drinking water on a significant scale.
Projects of this size require more than simply sourcing a product. Manufacturing capacity, quality control, logistics, local implementation and long-term reliability all form part of the project preparation.
That preparation also has a direct operational dimension. Equipment must arrive where it is needed, local teams must understand how it is distributed and supported, and the project must remain workable after the initial deployment. For Crbcoin, this is why supplier checks and on-the-ground implementation belong to the same process: a large clean-water initiative only creates lasting value when every link in the chain is capable of supporting the next.
The Guangzhou factory visit is therefore an important part of the due diligence behind the initiative.
Clean Water, Climate Projects and Real-World Impact
Crbcoin is developing an ecosystem around real-world environmental and social impact projects, including clean water infrastructure, boreholes, biodigesters and water purification.
These types of projects can also play a role within broader climate action, carbon reduction and carbon credit strategies where measurable and independently verified emission reductions can be demonstrated.
Crbcoin’s wider focus includes carbon credits, carbon offsetting and climate projects, alongside projects designed to improve access to essential infrastructure.
The objective is to connect blockchain technology with projects and assets that exist in the real world and whose impact can be measured, inspected and increasingly made transparent.
From Senegal to Guangzhou: Making Projects Visible
Transparency has already been applied to Crbcoin’s projects in Africa.
Crbcoin previously installed a live camera at a borehole project in rural Senegal, allowing people to see the project instead of simply reading about its progress.
The same philosophy now extends to the supply chain.
From a clean water project in Africa to the factory producing water purifiers in Guangzhou, Crbcoin wants partners and its community to be able to see the infrastructure behind its projects.
Visit and Verify
Crbcoin’s approach is simple: if a project creates real-world value, people should be able to see and verify as much of it as possible.
Partners and community members interested in Crbcoin’s projects can learn more about its clean water projects, carbon credit projects and carbon offset initiatives through the Crbcoin website.
